Bad news Ravens

On Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens celebrated as they earned their second win of the 2015 season. Morale was especially hyped as the Ravens won in dramatic fashion as time expired. However, as much has the Ravens season has gone, bad news is always lurking.

Late in the third quarter Steve Smith Sr. suffered a torn Achilles and had to be carried off the field. Before the season even started Smith told the Ravens that this would be his final season before retirement, and know with the injury Smith might never suit up again for the Baltimore Ravens or anywhere in the NFL. Smith’s career has been short in Baltimore compared to Carolina, but after the injury Smith Sr. tweeted a picture to Raven’s Fans that read “Blood makes you related. But loyalty makes you family.” The sight of Smith being carried off the field with a injury was sad for Ravens Fans all over. Head Coach John Harbaugh has not given up faith yet though.

After Harbaugh addressed the media with the status of Steve Smith Sr. he mad it clear that he did not think the injury would hold Smith back for the entire season. Harbaugh said “I have a feeling Steve Smith will be back.” Harbaugh also added this about Smith, “I love him, respect him, admire him. I told him that. That’s the kind of man he is and he’ll be back.”

Throughout Smith’s 15 seasons he has proven time and time again how tough a man he really is.   Whether Smith returns this season or not he still will continue to be the leader and fiery teammate that he always has been.
