Every Sunday, Maryland Sports Access awards a Student Section of the Week to the most spirited and creative high school student section in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

All entrants must send in their nomination by 10:00 pm every Saturday. Our crew at MSA will then determine a winner.

Here’s are the rules:

NOTE: Fall sports include cross country, field hockey, football, soccer, volleyball, and even … golf

  1. Tweet a picture (or multiple pictures) and/or video of the student section with the hashtag#MSAStudentSectionOfTheWeek. Feel free to tag us (@MDSportsAccess) in your tweets as well. You can also send your nomination to marylandsportsaccess@gmail.com
  2. Make sure to name your theme, and if it’s a special occurrence, state the reason behind it
  3. Keep it clean and get creative, we want to know who has the BEST student section in the state of Maryland and D.C.

Voting system: Our four panel members rank their top three student sections each week. One point is awarded to each third place school, two points are awarded to each second place school and three points are awarded to each first place school

Panel members (MSA roles): Evan Engelhard (co-owner, videographer), Austin McFadden (photographer, webmaster), Kyle McFadden (co-owner, editor-in-chief), Tom Peace (reporter)
