Golf: Urbana takes district crown, Linganore and North Hagerstown clinch state tournament appearances

HAGERSTOWN- Urbana golf took home its ninth district crown in a row with a record breaking total score of a 10-under, 274.

Teagan Stephenson shot a blistering 65 (-6) and Garrett Wrightson shot 66 (-5) for the Hawks who go full blast into states.

Frederick County’s Linganore also had a strong showing, compiling a total score of 298. Drew Twillman shot even par 71 for the Lancers.

Washington County’s North Hagerstown also clinched a state tournament appearance shooting a total of 314.

The 3A/4A MPSSAA golf state tournament will be held at University of Maryland on Monday, October 26th and Wednesday, October 28th.
