FREDERICK — No. 14 Linganore downed Walkersville in boys basketball action, 54-41, on Tuesday night at LHS.
The Lancers (3-0) led at halftime, 26-20, and sparked a 15-2 run to open the second half to take a 19-point lead. Linganore guard Nicholas Lang finished with 22 points, five rebounds, four assists and eight steals.
Walkersville (0-1), meanwhile, dropped their season-opener only two days after capturing the Class 2A state championship in football.
