The largest high school basketball tournament on the East Coast, the Governor’s Challenge, returns to Salisbury, running from Dec. 27-30.
In its 36th year, the four-day event features over 100 teams from nine states, including a team from Europe, as well as a 3-point contest, skills challenge and dunk contest.
With a plethora of Maryland teams in attendance, including No. 6 Stephen Decatur, No. 11 Bowie, No. 14 Dunbar, No. 17 Walt Whitman, No. 20 Linganore, Edmondson-Westside (RV), Surrattsville (RV), Oakdale (RV), Aberdeen (RV), Parkside (RV), Douglass-Baltimore (RV), New Town (RV), Potomac (RV), MSA will provide coverage of the holiday hoops jamboree.
No. 6 John Carroll, led by one of the top point guards in the nation, Immanuel Quickley, No. 13 Capitol Christian Academy and No. 16 Rock Creek Christian headline the Maryland private schools in attendance.
