NOTES: Capitol Christian Academy blew open a six-point fourth quarter lead by outscoring CBA 24-6 over the final eight minutes. Kobby Ayetey posted a double-double (14 points on 6-for-12 shooting and 13 rebounds) and Eric Watson scored a game-high 20 points (6-for-8 from downtown) off the bench. Alvin Cox added 12 poins, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals. CCA forced 32 turnovers and shot 39.2 percent on 29-for-74 shooting.

NOTES: The Millers staved off another comeback bid with Jeremiah Simmons’ perfect outing at the free throw line (13-for-13). Simmons finished with 22 points on 4-for-7 shooting. Milford Mill led 18-7 at the end of the first and shot 37.5 percent from the floor (15-for-40). Ugo Obasi, who scored 23 points in the win over Parkside on Tuesday, wound up with 13 points and nine rebounds. The Millers pulled down 16 offensive rebounds totaled 13 second chance points. Demarcus Demonia notched 14 points (5-for-7 shooting), seven rebounds and four blocks for C.H. Flowers.

NOTES: Five pivotal points in the final 89 seconds from KCA’s Dee Barnes (22 points on 7-for-11 shooting and four rebounds) seled KCA’s dramatic victory over Walkersville, 54-51. KCA jumped out to a 12-2 lead midway through the first quarter, but Walkersville rode a 14-2 run spanning over four minutes to draw within two, 16-14, with 5:42 left until halftime. KCA staked a 23-20 halftime lead, and led 38-35 at the end of the third when D’Angelo Tull (16 points) knocked down a 3-pointer to beat the buzzer.

Barnes broke a 48-48 tie with two free throws and soon after, converted the game-deciding three-point-play with 17 seconds remaning to seal the KCA victory. Kyle Daggett finished with 18 points and eight rebounds for Walkersville. The Lions shot 40.8 percent (20-for-49) and KCA shot 38.6 percent (17-for-44).

NOTES: No. 16 Rock Creek Christian rode Jermaine Harris’ double-double performance (14 points and 10 rebounds) to a nine-point over Sidwell Friends, who were without Penn State commit, Jehlani Williams. RCC stifled Sidwell in the first half, holding the D.C. power to 29.4 percent shooting (5-for-17) while outscoring them 19-5 in the second quarter. RCC shot 45.5 percent (15-for-33) while Sidwell shot 35.7 percent (15-for-42). Shariff Kenny notched 13 points for RCC. Saddiq Bey turned in a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
