FINALLY! It’s game weekend in the high school football world, at least for some private schools. There’s a solid slate of games, and fortunately for you, the MSA team is here to be your one-stop-shop.
On Friday, I will be at an intriguing game-like scrimmage between No. 8 Damascus and No. 12 Northwest, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. At 9 p.m., make sure to watch No. 1 DeMatha slug it out in Las Vegas with national power Bishop Gorman on ESPNU. Then, on Saturday at 1 p.m., I’m covering an MIAA-WCAC matchup between No. 7 Gonzaga (D.C.) and No. 14 Gilman. Brooks Warren will be at the home-opener for No. 3 St. John’s (D.C.), which faces Florida stalwart Jones at 2 p.m. Then at 7 p.m., Mr. Baltimore himself Tom Peace skirts on over to McDonogh School to cover the No. 6 Eagles and No. 21 Pallotti.
Weβll have updates on this thread all weekend, so whether youβre in the bleachers at a game or home on the couch, stop in frequently to stay on top of the gridiron action from around the state.
If you haven’t already, make sure to follow us on Twitter @MDSportsAccess. All times are EST.
