NORTH POTOMAC — The Maryland Sports Access high school football preseason tour continued on Tuesday as we visited the campus of Quince Orchard High School to watch the Cougars practice.
Quince Orchard is coming off a 12-2 season in which they lost to Wise in the Class 4A state title game, 42-7. The Cougars won their first region title under head coach John Kelley, who is entering his fourth season at the helm. Quince Orchard is set to return four starters on both sides of the ball, including two-year starting quarterback and one of the most dynamic players under center, Doc Bonner.
Below, Kelley talks about his early impressions, what to expect on offense and defense, what itβll take to win a state championship and more.
Bonner, who holds eight Division I offers, discusses the upcoming 2017 season and his summer, among other topics.
Be on the lookout for more one-on-one interviews and in-depth previews as the season approaches.
