The season is less than a month away. Like a point guard surveying the defense, manipulating a strategy to dismantle the opposition, we’re scanning the college basketball landscape to decipher storylines and gauge the odds of backyard programs making an NCAA Tournament run.
This Friday, we’ll be exactly three weeks away from the start of the 2017-18 college basketball season. Starting on Wednesday (tomorrow), we will be rolling out at least once piece of college basketball content leading up until opening night on Nov. 10.
Last year, only two of the 13 Maryland and D.C. Division I men’s college basketball programs qualified for the NCAA Tournament — the University of Maryland and Mount St. Mary’s. On the women’s side, Maryland was the lone institution in Md. and D.C. to make the big dance. We’re confident those numbers will be higher this year.
Without further ado, here’s our college basketball preview docket.
