Every Monday, MSA compiles the top public school boys’ basketball teams in the state and ranks them 1-15 based on résumé and talent.

No. 1 Perry Hall was supposed to play ranked Eleanor Roosevelt on Saturday in the National Hoopfest at DeMatha Catholic High School, but weather ousted the contest from the event. The Gators will put their top spot on the line Wednesday night when they travel to No. 2 Poly, and then have another test on Friday versus No. 14 Milford Mill.

Bladensburg falls from No. 7 to 12 after a 17-point loss to Wilson (D.C.) and Life without Marvin Price didn’t get off to a smooth start for Patterson, as it lost to unranked Digital Harbor.

Lake Clifton, after losing to private power John Carroll, falls out while Gwynn Park enters.
