Navy’s comeback attempt falls short against rival Army

ANNAPOLIS — Shawn Anderson scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds, but it wasn’t enough for Navy, which shot just 32.2 percent (19-for-59) and 18.2 percent from deep (4-for-22) in the 64-62 loss to rival Army on Sunday at Alumni Hall.

According to the Navy Athletics Twitter account, Anderson received four stitches to his nose right before halftime. It didn’t hamper the senior guard, however, as he poured in 20 points on 4-for-6 shooting (10-for-10 from the free throw line) in the second half.
