Our vision: Driven by storytelling and community, MSA is a media outlet dedicated to bringing fans of local collegiate, high school and professional sports across Maryland and D.C. closer to the action.

MSA is proudly independent and maintained by two skilled and passionate individuals: Evan Engelhard, who works for Baltimore’s Fox45 as a production assistant, serves as the digital media editor; and Kyle McFadden, who contributes to a multitude of newspapers and media outlets in the DMV, serves as the editor-in-chief.

Since our budget is sparse, we cannot pay contributors at the moment. What we do offer is invaluable experience, clips for a résumé, mentorship, exposure and the opportunity bolster connections.

Since launching in June 2015, MSA contributors have either been published in, worked or contributed to The Aegis, The Baltimore Sun, Carroll County Times, The Capital Gazette, The Delmarva Daily Times, DMVelite, The Frederick News-Post, Baltimore Orioles Advanced-A affiliate the Frederick Keys, Howard County Times, mocofootball.com, SB Nation, The Sentinel, The Washington Post, WHAG-TV, WMUC Sports, WTHU AM1450, Yahoo Rivals and 105.7 The Fan.
