Terrance Williams scored 22 points and Penn State-bound guard Myles Dread added 18 points as No. 1 Gonzaga pulled away from No. 2 DeMatha in the fourth quarter on Thursday at DeMatha Catholic High School, 61-52.

Williams, a 6-foot-7 sophomore forward, started the game 3-for-5 from deep to have the Eagles (12-1, 4-1 Washington Catholic Athletic Conference) out to a 13-8 lead at the three-minute mark in the first quarter. Allin Blunt had six of his 10 points in the first quarter to help Gonzaga in a 15-15 stalemate through one. Junior guard Justin Moore, who finished with a team-high 18 points for DeMatha (12-2, 5-1 WCAC), had seven points in the first quarter.

Gonzaga led 31-30 at halftime, but outscored the Stags 22-16 in the third quarter behind a pair of Dread 3-pointers to take a 53-46 lead into the fourth.

Junior 6-6 forward Earl Timberlake had 16 points and sophomore 7-1 center Hunter Dickinson added 12 points for the Stags.
