Every Monday, MSA compiles the top boys’ basketball teams in the state and ranks them 1-25 based on résumé and talent.
Top-ranked Gonzaga continues roll, picking up a win against then-No. 7 St. John’s last week. St. Frances moves into No. 2, while DeMatha slides to the third spot. Mount St. Joseph stays at No. 4 and Georgetown Prep rounds out the top five.
After defeating No. 5 Poly, Lake Clifton enters in this week’s edition of the boys’ hoops Top 25.
Note: The only Washington, D.C. teams in the MSA coverage zone are Archbishop Carroll, Gonzaga and St. John’s, because the three are minutes from Maryland and compete in the WCAC, one of the top leagues in the nation.
